Riley Matthews - AU RP Things
[When Maya opens the door, she has a cauldron cake shoved directly into her mouth, and paints covering more of her body then skin itself.]
"Hey Riwerly..."
[She swallows her cauldron cake in one gulp. Something isn't right. No matter how much her best friend tried to cover things up, Maya knows. She always knows. But she can't keep her out in the cold.]
"Come inside Honey..."

[ She smiles at her blonde friend, a hand on her stomach as she walks into the girl's apartment. It's messier than her apartment, the familiar smell of paint and hair products waft into her nose unlike the smell of books from her own.]

[With a simple wave of her wand, portraits she doesn't want Riley to see go flying away into cupboards and drawers. This moment will not be about her stupid, complicated dancing game with Lucas. Tonight would be all about them. All about her best friend, who clearly had a weight to unload.]
"Well, it's always lovely to see my honey" [She smiles] "Want a cup of Butter Beer?..."
[She had managed to snag some in bottle form from a friend, but that's another story]

No thanks. You know how my husband is when I have anything sweeter than strawberry.
"Oh well in that case!" [She does a little dancing movement with her wand.] "Baba de, baba do- BA DUM" [With another simple flick of her wand, a cupboard flies open, and freshly prepared and washed strawberries begin to levitate towards Riley, until they hover in place, right under her nose]
"Want any Strawberries?" [She shines a smile at her best friend.]

[ Oh, strawberries her favourite food.
The sweet scent wafted into her nose and before she knew it she was volting into the bathroom and puking out what looked like to be last nights meal. ]

[Maya ran into the bathroom. There was a time for magic, and a time for human contact. This was one of them. She gently held her hair back with one hand, and patted her back softly in circles with the other.]
"Do you feel better Honey?..." [She bites her lip in a concerned way.]

[She doesn't care that her best friend has just been sick. Or that she could be "ill". Because she knows her best friend like the back of her hand. And she loves her. Without hesitation she embraces Riley in a warm hug]
"Is there something you want to tell me Riley?" [She asks softly into her chest.]

"Honey..." [She speaks tenderly, but then she's swiftly holding her up supportingly as she helps her up the stairs. A simple flick of her wand, so she doesn't need to let go of Riley, and then they are upstairs. Sitting down in the bay window Maya has. Doesn't really hold a candle up to the one they used to have in Hogwarts, but it's home for them both now-a-days.]
[She cups Riley's face.] "Riles... I love you. You know I know it when you're trying to hide something from me..."

I'm going to ruin everything, Maya. I thought we were ready but then he had school and I had the internship but now I feel like I'm going to make his life harder.

[And there it is. The only thing that can shatter Maya's heart truly into a thousand pieces. The sound of her best friend crying.]

I know, Maya. Lucas told me. And as unsanitary as that is I can't complain. I made out with Farkle on the owlery floor before we got together. It was for science.
[Maya looks at Riles with great anger bubbling inside her]
"Next time I see that cowboy, I swear my foot has a SPECIAL place for him where it-"
[But suddenly she's cut off by mid thought. Gazing questionably]
"For science. Right. I bet that made for some pretty interesting graphs..."

Don't be mad at him; we started arguing again and he just blurt it out. At least he isn't smug about it because I know someone familiarly like that.
